So I've been thinking lately... how many times do you have to say your writing a book for people to take you seriously ? I think it's also because I am seventeen and not many people take seventeen year olds seriously anyway despite what they are trying to do with their life. You always get one of three reactions, first one is "oh cool go you!" Which is my personal favorite, the second one is the flip side to that one they are like "oh cool, go you .... who's publishing it?" And as soon as you like well I'm an indie author they are like "oh.." and that's like dude it's still a big thing no matter who is publishing it weather its me or penguin I'm still an author and that's a big deal!!! And the third is "yeah I know, you already said."
Sometimes I feel like you can't expect anyone to have the right reaction until the book is finished and in your hand otherwise you are literally just saying "hi I'm spending lots of my time and effort on this thing you won't care about until it's done but I'm gonna tell you anyway."
