Writing this book I have learnt many things both about myself and my writing abilities. The problem I've been facing recently is actually finding a time where I can both concentrate for a long period of time and the inspiration I need to put things into paper and in some cases a laptop. My first problem is that I can't write when someone else is in the room ... meaning the only time I feel like I can write when my boyfriend isn't around which narrows time down a lot ! The other thing is, that when I am alone for a long amount of time I just don't feel like writing it's impossible. But on those rare occasions where I do feel like writing and no one is around that is my favorite part of life in general I feel so free. I'm not sure if other writers feel like this, but I do most of the time. Thanks for reading...

So I've been thinking lately... how many times do you have to say your writing a book for people to take you seriously ? I think it's also because I am seventeen and not many people take seventeen year olds seriously anyway despite what they are trying to do with their life. You always get one of three reactions, first one is "oh cool go you!" Which is my personal favorite, the second one is the flip side to that one they are like "oh cool, go you .... who's publishing it?" And as soon as you like well I'm an indie author they are like "oh.." and that's like dude it's still a big thing no matter who is publishing it weather its me or penguin I'm still an author and that's a big deal!!! And the third is "yeah I know, you already said." So this is basically my writing diary! I am 17 and my main aim in life is to write books and buy cats, I really love cats. Anyway... at this moment in time I'm working on a YA fantasy called Hematite. I first got the idea when I was laid in bed writing short stories I had written about four or five that week and I wondered about how someone would react if they were kept upside down for a very long time without realising and the idea just went from there. I also recently started watching booktube, which gave me the inspiration to actually write my first book. so now I am at the point of learning about publishing and cover designs, interior book templates and other things such as getting indie books into Waterstones and bookshops like that which has been really fun, so this is just kinda my record of what and how I'm doing things.
